An established engineering and service-led organisation is seeking a highly organised Service Administrator to join its team in Farnborough. Working within a busy operational environment, you'll play a vital role in supporting engineers, Service Managers and customers, ensuring service activity is accurately recorded, communicated and delivered to a high standard. The business prides itself on providing excellent customer service, operating efficiently and maintaining strong client relationships. Operating from modern offices within Aerospace Park, this is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and collaborative team where your contribution will be genuinely valued.

Your new role

As Service Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of service administration activities to support the day-to-day running of the service department. This is a varied role that requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing shared service inboxes and responding to customer enquiries.
  • Logging service calls and ensuring overnight call-outs have been accurately recorded and communicated to Service Managers.
  • Updating and maintaining reactive and planned service jobs.
  • Producing and distributing engineer service records and service documentation.
  • Managing customer portals and maintaining accurate job status updates.
  • Monitoring engineer activity and time bookings to ensure records remain accurate.
  • Issuing weekly engineer call-out rotas.
  • Coordinating customer satisfaction surveys and supporting KPI reporting.
  • Sending service sheets and regular updates to customers.
  • Liaising with engineers, Service Managers and customers to ensure service information is up to date and accurate.
  • Supporting the wider team with additional administrative duties as required.

What You'll Need To Succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a service, engineering, maintenance, facilities or operational environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both over the phone and via email.
  • Confidence handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience updating systems, customer portals or service records accurately.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst managing your own responsibilities.
