Service Administrator

Adams Morey Basingstoke (Whitney Road) is looking for a friendly, organised, and detail-focused Service Administrator to join our busy service department.

The role will be primarily based at our Whitney Road site, with the successful candidate also required to provide cover at our Bell Road site as and when required.

As a Service Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the service department, ensuring administration is completed accurately and efficiently and that our customers receive a professional service.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, is highly organised, and has excellent attention to detail.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week, 1 hour lunch break (unpaid).

Salary:
£14.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to the service department.
  • Assist with service bookings and maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records.
  • Prepare and process service and repair documentation.
  • Support Service Advisors and the wider workshop team with day-to-day administration.
  • Process job cards, invoices, and other relevant paperwork accurately.
  • Assist with vehicle collections and handovers where required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is completed and filed correctly.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments as required.
  • Assist with warranty and service-related administration.
  • Respond to customer and internal enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide administrative cover at our Bell Road site as and when required.
  • Ensure outstanding administration is followed up and completed within required timescales.
  • Work in line with company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
  • Carry out any other duties that may be required to meet the needs of the business.

Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a service, automotive, or commercial vehicle environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work, including the ability to provide cover at our Bell Road site when required.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive and professional approach to customer service.
