Cheltenham | £28,000 Basic Salary | £33,000 OTE
We're looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join an established automotive dealership in Cheltenham.
You'll be at the centre of the customer journey, working closely with the workshop to keep vehicles moving, customers informed and expectations managed from the moment a vehicle is booked in through to collection.
If you know your way around a busy aftersales department, enjoy working with people and take pride in getting the details right, we'd like to talk.
The opportunity
This is a customer-facing role with plenty of variety. You'll be managing several vehicles and customer conversations throughout the day, balancing customer expectations with workshop capacity and making sure everyone knows what's happening.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Booking vehicles into the workshop and understanding exactly what the customer needs
- Preparing accurate job cards and making sure the right information is captured from the outset
- Liaising closely with Technicians, Workshop Controllers and the wider aftersales team
- Providing clear estimates and explaining recommended work in a way customers can understand
- Keeping customers updated throughout the repair and servicing process
- Discussing additional work and obtaining customer authorisation where required
- Explaining technical information without unnecessary jargon
- Advising customers on servicing, maintenance and future requirements
- Managing queries and resolving issues calmly and professionally
- Making sure vehicles are ready for collection and the handover is smooth

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
