Service Advisor Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Service Advisor to join a commercial vehicle dealer specialising in the sale, servicing, and repair of vans and trucks supporting businesses with new and Approved Used vehicles, genuine parts, and comprehensive aftersales services.

As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers, coordinating vehicle service and repair work while ensuring a smooth aftersales experience.

This full-time role offers a salary of GBP 32,780 - GBP 34,380 per annum, plus a performance-related bonus of up to GBP 1,720 per annum and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming customers in person and over the telephone in a professional manner.
  • Booking vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair appointments.
  • Preparing and managing repair orders using the dealership management system.
  • Completing vehicle check-in procedures, recording vehicle condition, and customer requirements.
  • Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process.
  • Obtaining approval for any additional work identified during servicing.
  • Arranging vehicle collections, deliveries, and customer handovers.
  • Ensuring service documentation is accurate to support invoicing and workshop administration.
  • Reviewing vehicle service records to identify suitable maintenance recommendations.
  • Delivering a high standard of customer service throughout the customer journey.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the service department.

Requirements

  • Previously worked as a Service Advisor, Service Adviser, Service Receptionist, Service Administrator, Aftersales Advisor, Customer Service Advisor, or in a similar role.
  • Prior experience within the automotive industry.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail.
  • Good IT and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively in a busy environment.
  • Professional, positive, and team-oriented approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Shift

  • Working hours: 46.5 per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 6:00pm
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays, 7:00am - 1:00pm
