At Vertu Union Motor Company Edinburgh, we're looking for a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our successful Aftersales team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an automotive professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and enjoys building strong relationships with customers.

With a competitive salary of £33,000 - £35,000 depending on experience, this role also offers the benefit of a Monday to Friday working pattern with no weekend working.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • No weekends

About The Role

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the key link between our customers and workshop team, ensuring every customer receives a professional, efficient, and friendly experience throughout their vehicle's service or repair journey.

You'll manage customer expectations from initial booking through to vehicle collection, providing updates, handling enquiries, and ensuring a first-class level of customer care at every stage.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Welcoming customers and understanding their service and repair requirements
  • Managing bookings and workshop schedules efficiently
  • Keeping customers updated throughout their vehicle's time in the workshop
  • Liaising closely with technicians and workshop colleagues
  • Explaining completed work and associated costs clearly and professionally
  • Identifying additional service opportunities where appropriate
  • Resolving customer queries and ensuring complete satisfaction
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a candidate with previous automotive customer service experience who thrives in a busy dealership environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor or within an automotive customer-facing role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong customer-focused approach
  • Good organisational and time-management abilities
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A positive and professional attitude
