Service Engineer

We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Service Engineer to join our growing team. If you enjoy diagnosing complex faults, solving engineering challenges, and working autonomously in the field, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll manage your own workload while delivering exceptional service to customers across the UK.

Working on a wide range of equipment and systems, you'll utilise your mechanical and electrical expertise to carry out installations, maintenance, breakdowns, and diagnostic works on compressed air systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and responding to emergency breakdowns to minimise customer downtime.
  • Performing planned preventative maintenance and providing expert recommendations to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Supporting the installation, commissioning, and optimisation of compressed air systems at customer sites.
  • Building strong relationships with customers, providing technical advice and becoming a trusted engineering partner.
  • Identifying opportunities to deliver additional value and solutions that support customer requirements.
  • Completing service documentation and technical reports accurately, ensuring customers receive clear and professional recommendations.
  • Contributing to commissioning projects and supporting customer training where required.
  • Working safely and professionally at all times, carrying out risk assessments and adhering to site-specific safety requirements.
  • Providing valuable feedback to improve products, systems, and service delivery across the business.
  • Participating in the on-call rota, helping to deliver the responsive service our customers rely on.
  • Taking ownership of your company vehicle, equipment, and tools to ensure you're always ready to deliver outstanding service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
