Position Overview
As Service Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring spare parts, service components, and external services required to support our Service and Aftersales operations. Working closely with Service teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure materials and services are available when required, supporting efficient service delivery and minimizing customer downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure spare parts, service components, and external services to support Service and Aftersales operations.
- Raise, manage, and track purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Work closely with Service teams to understand urgent and planned procurement requirements.
- Expedite orders where required to support service delivery and minimize delays.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, including lead times, availability, and delivery performance.
- Support warranty, repair, and returns processes where required.
- Maintain accurate supplier and procurement records within business systems.
- Assist with supplier invoice queries and discrepancy resolution.
- Identify alternative sourcing options when required to support service requirements.
- Support continuous improvement activities across procurement and service processes.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a highly organized individual with purchasing experience and strong attention to detail. You will be proactive, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working with internal teams and suppliers to ensure service requirements are met efficiently.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in a purchasing, buying, procurement, or supply chain role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Experience using ERP, purchasing, or inventory management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different departments.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve supply issues effectively.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting service, manufacturing, or engineering operations.
- Knowledge of spare parts purchasing or service-related procurement activities.
- Experience working with suppliers in a fast-paced operational environment.
