Responsibilities
To support the Supervisors and team members in achieving 7-day turnaround with all laundry into the Service Centre. Understand the daily plan that has been set by the Supervisors and execute the plan alongside your team members. To receive delegated tasks from the Supervisors and complete, on time, as specified, and to the expected standard.
A successful Team Leader will strive to get it right first time, be positive in their approach towards others, remain professional and respectful at all times, plus, contribute to MSA’s culture that upholds the core behavior values. Tasks will be performed in a safe environment, actively participating into MSA’s safety values and culture. The expectation is for all associates to adhere to all of MSA’s safety requirements at all times.

Key Elements and Tasks of TL role
- Follow your weekly planner/daily huddle board to ensure you work within each section of the service centre, gaining in experience. Understand the job role of each section so that you can perform the tasks needed to the highest standard.
- Understand the 7day turnaround process goals, the priorities of the customers, and the day order of work.
- Always escalate issues that prevent you from achieving the 7-day turnaround goal to a supervisor
- Check in daily and participate in the Supervisors “Daily Activity Meeting” so you understand the priorities and goals for the day so you can contribute.
- Accept delegated tasks from the supervisors, execute on time, as specified, and to a high standard.
- Deputise and provide cover when a supervisor is absence.
- Coach, inspire and motivate your team members to achieve the daily goals required
Laundry Section Tasks
- You are expected to work as an associate for 50% of your time. Depending on the area of expertise within the service centre you would remain in this section and perform being measured as any other associate on the section.
- Be prepared to move sections and complete other work when needed, that you have been trained on to increase productivity or efficiency.
- Take part in a weekly housekeeping check /tidy up/ and cleaning exercise in the work areas that you are in.
- Achieve daily productivity targets

Qualifications
Experience (required)
- Well organised and systematic approach to planning activities
- Striving for Customer Service Excellence
- A good knowledge of SAP, Excel, Email and Word, plus confident using a PC
- Attention to detail /Accuracy
- Decision Making
- Ability to work under pressure, and understanding the order of priority
- Strong communication skills within peer group.
- Strong listening & questioning technique.
- Ability to recognise problems and issues in a timely manner and offer strong problem-solving skills or an escalation
- Acts as a role model
- Health & Safety Champion
Experience (preferred)
- Experience in similar environment
- People Management
Education (required)
- O-Level or Equivalent
