Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Trainee to join our specialist Service Charge Accounts team. The role will support the preparation of factual findings engagements for residential property managing agents. The role provides structured training and an opportunity to develop specialist knowledge of service charge accounting within a supportive accountancy practice.

- Review accounting records and test income, expenditure, balances and reserve fund movements against supporting documentation.
- Perform reconciliations and analytical reviews, identifying anomalies or matters requiring further investigation.
- Assist in preparing accurate working papers, engagement documentation and accountants’ reports in accordance with firm procedures.
- Liaise professionally with managing agents to obtain records, supporting evidence and explanations.
- Manage assigned work effectively, communicate progress and contribute to the delivery of engagements within agreed deadlines.
Key Requirements
- An interest in developing a career in accountancy through professional training.
- GCSE Mathematics and English at grade 6 or above, or equivalent.
- A levels grade C or above, or equivalent.
