Service Charge Manager
Are you an experienced Service Charge professional looking for the opportunity to lead a team, influence change and improve how a service operates? We're partnering with an established housing organisation to recruit a Service Charge Manager into a key finance leadership role.
You'll take responsibility for a regional Service Charge function, combining technical expertise, people leadership, financial control and continuous improvement.

Description
- Leading, coaching and developing the Service Charge team
- Overseeing annual service charge estimates and year-end statements
- Supporting the annual accountant certification and audit process
- Maintaining strong financial controls, reconciliations and service charge ledgers
- Monitoring performance against budgets
- Working closely with Finance, Rents and wider operational teams
- Driving improvements to systems, controls and processes
- Leading service charge projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring service charges support affordability and value for money for residents

Profile
Ideally, you'll have:
- Experience within service charge finance, ideally gained in social housing
- Knowledge of service charge and rent legislation
- Understanding of the social housing regulatory framework
- Experience leading and developing a team as an experienced team leader or a capable manager
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Confidence working with large and complex datasets
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to identify opportunities for process improvement

Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £58,689 to £69,437, dependent on the level of experience.
- Hybrid working - 1/2 days a week
