Service Co-Ordinator

Gateshead | £35,000 per year | Full Time | Permanent
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (30-minute lunch)

Pearson Hydraulics, part of the R&G Fluid Power Group, is looking for a General Operative to join our Lincoln team. This is a varied and hands-on position supporting our trade counter, warehouse operations, dispatch activities, and customer service function.

About Pearson Hydraulics

About the Role

As a Service Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for managing our company's assets and coordinating the logistics of our mobile service units. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of all company vehicles to include MOT, servicing & repairs
  • Manage health & safety documentation and inspections via S2B platform
  • Increase and manage sales activity with the engineering and sales team.
  • Regular communication with the engineering & design team to improve customer experience.
  • Manage and track all engineering works, update planner with status and action points
  • Maintain stock levels and reorder supplies as needed for the mobile workshops
  • Manage and action any works from Pearson Hydraulic Asset Management system
  • Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of mobile service units to customer sites for hose and hydraulic system repairs, installations, and maintenance.
  • Monitor the performance and efficiency of mobile units, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Monthly reporting to the management team with resource and sales activity.
  • Maintain communication with customers to provide updates on service appointments and address any issues or concerns.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, invoices, and customer feedback.
  • Create and update documentation relating to assets and manage the disposal or decommissioning of obsolete or surplus assets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards through proper documentation and record-keeping practices.

What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Experience in logistics, asset management, or administration
  • Strong skills in scheduling, planning, and prioritizing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory software
  • Experience managing vehicle logs and compliance files

Desirable

  • Knowledge of hose and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with S2B or Pearson Hydraulic platforms
  • Background in stock control and asset decommissioning
