Objectives

Coordinate the work of the service department on a daily basis; ensuring that work is effectively programmed and to ensure customer and departmental needs are met.

Reporting

The service C&D driver will report to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure that the organization of the collection and delivery of customer vehicles is efficiently maintained
  • Liaise with and update customers regarding the collection and delivery of their vehicles
  • To liaise with service reception team to ensure that customer vehicle requirements are met and communicated effectively
  • To provide a timely and courteous collection and delivery service for customer vehicles as required by the workshop
  • To present customer vehicles for MOT inspection
  • Support the technicians by providing vehicle road testing following repair
  • Assist workshop with any vehicle movement within the yard.
  • To undertake any driving duties as requested both on and offsite ensuring that the "rules" of the road are adhered to at all times
  • To carry out weekly checks on company courtesy vehicles
  • Organise and arrange on site vehicles to ensure safe parking and maximize usage of space
  • Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of vehicles when presented to customers
  • To ensure that all customer complaints are referred to the relevant staff member
  • Assist management by being the Health and Safety representative for the workshop; to include monthly reporting of any safety issues.
