About This Role

Are you a Service Controller looking for a new role, or an experienced scheduler or service coordinator looking for a fresh challenge? This Service Controller position in Garforth within our Material Handling Business Unit is a fast-paced, customer-focused role where you will coordinate field-based engineers and keep operations running smoothly.

  • Allocating breakdown and maintenance jobs to engineers, ensuring maximum efficiency
  • Handling incoming calls and emails, logging jobs accurately and professionally
  • Managing customer expectations while delivering excellent service at every touchpoint
  • Monitoring repair costs, raising quotations, and ensuring work stays within budget
  • Maintaining accurate system records and supporting day-to-day service administration

About You

You are organised, proactive, and confident communicating with customers and colleagues in a busy environment. You enjoy solving problems, working to deadlines, and keeping multiple moving parts under control.

  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Experience in a customer service or scheduling environment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to calculate costs accurately
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills, with a focus on customer service
