Service Controller - Biggleswade, EarthmovingBiggleswade
A vacancy has arisen within our Earth Moving After Sales Department based in Biggleswade for a Service Controller.
This role plays a key part in the success of Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd's Earth Moving Technical Division by delivering exceptional customer service and providing effective support to our service operations. Working closely with customers, Field Service Engineers, and internal departments, you will ensure repairs, parts, and services are coordinated efficiently and completed in a timely manner.
Your Profile
- Assist the After Sales Manager in carrying out the duties required to support the Service Department and provide industry-leading customer service.
- Act as the first point of contact for inbound service calls and enquiries in a proactive, professional, and efficient manner, obtaining customer details, order numbers, and any required authorisations.
- Assist in coordinating parts, labour, tooling, and other resources required for the efficient completion of service and repair work.
- Raise and process Sales Orders, Work Orders, Purchase Requests, and Supplier Invoices for both internal departments and external customers.
- Close jobs in a timely manner, accurately justifying costs incurred to both internal and external customers, and effectively manage the depot's work in progress (WIP) to ensure prompt invoicing.
- Liaise with customers to schedule jobs through the Repairs mailbox and ensure all relevant information is communicated in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with Field Service Engineers, suppliers, and internal departments to support efficient operations and prepare estimates for additional work opportunities to generate sales.
- Support the preparation of estimates, quotations, and defect documentation for additional work requirements.
- Take ownership of supplier communications, including raising purchase orders and closing them upon receipt of goods.
- Identify and develop additional sales opportunities through customer service interactions.
- Maintain organised and accurate filing systems, ensuring all documentation is completed, updated, and stored promptly and efficiently.
