Service Coordinator
Salary: £30,000.00 p/a plus a yearly bonus of up to 10% and Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire, S4 7ZJ

What you’ll be doing
- Monitor daily service activity to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales and service level agreements.
- Track live in-cab progress and identify delays, missed collections, incomplete work, or other service issues.
- Escalate operational delays and performance issues to supervisors and management.
- Reallocate tasks to available crews and resources when required, following operational instructions.
- Monitor the ECHO Maps tracking system and report unusual activity, tracking errors, or other anomalies.
- Record access issues, roadworks, and missed collections, ensuring supporting photographs and information are saved correctly.
- Monitor ad hoc services, including bin deliveries, clinical collections, and bulky waste collections.
- Liaise with relevant internal departments to support the delivery and completion of operational work.
- Produce accurate reports for supervisors covering missed collections, on-board system compliance, and completed work.
- Check that all service rounds have been correctly completed and closed when drivers debrief.
- Maintain accurate operational records and ensure service information is updated promptly.

What we're looking for
- Experience using live tracking, scheduling, workflow, or fleet management systems.
- The ability to monitor real-time operational activity and identify delays, exceptions, and incomplete tasks.
- Experience allocating or reallocating work according to available crews, vehicles, or other resources.
- Experience recording and managing operational data, including collections, deliveries, and service completion.
- Experience producing reports using system data and presenting information in a clear, accurate format.
- Competence using Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Gmail.
- The ability to accurately update records, maintain information, and retrieve data when required.
- An understanding of service level agreements, performance monitoring, and operational compliance.
- Experience using mapping, vehicle-tracking, or in-cab monitoring systems would be beneficial.
- Previous experience in service coordination, logistics, fleet operations, waste management, or a similar operational environment would be beneficial.
