Role Description
The Service Coordinator is a part-time, remote role responsible for organizing and overseeing sitting services for families. Day-to-day tasks include liaising with families to understand their needs, scheduling and coordinating sitters, and maintaining clear communication with all parties. The role involves managing service requests, updating records and rotas, and addressing any issues or changes in arrangements promptly and professionally. The Service Coordinator will collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent quality of service, follow safeguarding and confidentiality guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes.

- Strong service coordination skills, including managing schedules, handling service requests, and monitoring delivery of support.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build trust with families, sitters, and colleagues.
- Experience or knowledge in operations management and customer service to ensure efficient, family-centered service delivery.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with good time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of children with disabilities and their families; prior experience in health, social care, or disability support is an advantage.
- Basic IT proficiency for remote work, including email, scheduling tools, and maintaining accurate records.
- Awareness of safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection best practices; training or certification in these areas is beneficial.
