About The Role

Reporting directly to the Service Deli Manager, this successful applicant will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the stores service deli, to ensure the smooth operation of the department and its team.

If successful, you will be required to assist with managing and coaching the team, completing production, actioning orders, generating rosters + much more!

Working as a part of an enthusiastic team, in a highly competitive supermarket environment, applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

  • Fresh food retail knowledge is preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to supervise a team
  • An understanding of ordering, cost control and gross profit will be an advantage
  • Accurate team member rostering will be an advantage
  • Passion and enthusiasm, with a very "hands on" approach
  • Unparalleled commitment to customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with both team members and management
  • A flair for merchandising
  • Commitment to work health and safety standards
