Service Delivery Manager –.NET & Azure
Location: London, UK (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract / Permanent
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Service Delivery Manager with a strong technical background in Microsoft .NET and Azure technologies to lead the delivery and operational management of enterprise applications and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will combine excellent service management capabilities with hands-on knowledge of cloud-native application delivery, DevOps, and modern software engineering practices.
You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, managing stakeholder expectations, driving continuous service improvement, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery and operational support of .NET and Azure-based applications.
- Lead service governance, ensuring delivery against agreed SLAs, KPIs, and operational objectives.
- Work closely with engineering teams to support .NET/Azure application delivery and production operations.
- Drive service excellence across cloud-native applications, APIs, and digital platforms.
- Coordinate Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Major Incident Management activities in line with ITIL best practices.
- Partner with Development, Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, and Business teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps practices, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure applications are delivered following Secure SDLC principles and enterprise security standards.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and service escalations.
- Oversee vendor and third-party supplier performance where applicable.
- Produce regular service reports, operational dashboards, and executive-level updates.
- Support project transition into Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.
- Drive continual service improvement and operational excellence across Azure cloud services.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in IT Service Delivery, Application Support, or Service Management.
- Proven experience managing enterprise application services within Microsoft technology environments.
- Strong understanding of .NET Core and C# application landscapes.
- Experience supporting Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and cloud-native Azure solutions.
- Knowledge of REST API development and API lifecycle management.
- Understanding of cloud-native application architecture and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience working with React and/or Angular applications.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment processes.
- Strong SQL knowledge with experience supporting enterprise databases.
- Good understanding of authentication and authorization standards including OAuth2 and OpenID Connect (OIDC).
- Experience driving DevOps adoption and service automation.
- Strong stakeholder management, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, or other regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud operations.
- Experience supporting microservices and cloud-native architectures.
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
- ITIL Foundation or ITIL 4 Certification
