Service Design Lead
Location: London University
Salary: £60,484 - £65,557
Availability: ASAP
Contract: 6-Month Initial FTC
Hybrid working: 1-2 days in London
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Design Lead to join a leading London university during a significant organisational transformation programme.
Working across a complex stakeholder environment, you will lead service design activity that helps shape future ways of working, improve the employee and student experience, and support the delivery of a new operating model. This is a highly visible role where you will work closely with senior leaders, programme teams and operational stakeholders to design and implement impactful change.

Key Responsibilities
- Leading the service design workstream within a large-scale transformation programme.
- Designing future-state services, processes and operating models.
- Conducting user research and gathering insights to inform service improvements.
- Developing service blueprints, customer journeys, personas and experience maps.
- Facilitating workshops, co-design sessions and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Translating complex requirements into practical and deliverable solutions.
- Embedding user-centred design principles across the organisation.
- Supporting change implementation and continuous improvement activity.
You
The successful candidate will bring proven experience of service design within large and complex organisations, alongside strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills. Experience of operating model design, organisational transformation, process improvement and user-centred design methodologies will be highly beneficial. Previous experience within a university is highly desirable!
