Legal & General is recruiting for the role of Service Designer. An experienced Service Designer is needed to shape the end-to-end onboarding experience for institutional retirement clients. The role also helps build service-design capability, introduce ways to measure services and support evidence-led decisions.

What you’ll do
- Design and evolve the end-to-end institutional client onboarding service.
- Connect client needs with internal journeys, processes, operations and technology.
- Map service journeys, touchpoints, dependencies and areas of friction.
- Conduct customer research and test services and propositions.
- Define service measures and use evidence to prioritise improvements.
- Create service blueprints, wireframes and prototypes to communicate ideas.
- Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver change.
- Coach teams in practical service-design and design-thinking approaches.

What they’re looking for
- Have proven experience designing complex end-to-end services.
- Show strong knowledge of service-design and design-thinking methods.
- Have experience connecting customer journeys with operational and technical delivery.
- Work effectively in a large or complex organisation.
- Bring strong stakeholder-management, communication and facilitation skills.
- Use insight, research and testing to inform decisions.
- Help cross-functional teams apply service-design approaches.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and tools such as Figma or equivalent would be beneficial.

- Onboarding is the initial focus, but the opportunity is broader.
- The role is open to candidates without a pensions or insurance background.
