Service Designer (DV Cleared)

Location: UK (Defence & Security Sector)

Clearance: Developed Vetting (DV) Required

We are seeking an experienced Service Designer to help shape and improve complex digital services for Defence and Security clients. Working within multidisciplinary teams, you will collaborate with researchers, strategists, business analysts, designers, and engineers to create user-centred services that deliver measurable outcomes. You will be responsible for understanding user needs, designing end-to-end service experiences, and ensuring services work effectively across people, processes, technology, data, and policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviours.
  • Design and map end-to-end services across multiple products, channels, and touchpoints.
  • Create service blueprints, customer journeys, and other service design artefacts.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define service objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve services and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with users and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with User Researchers to ensure insights inform design decisions.

  • Proven experience in Service Design across complex digital services.
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
  • Experience designing end-to-end services spanning multiple products and touchpoints.
  • Ability to create and communicate service design artefacts, including journey maps and service blueprints.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience translating user insights into actionable service improvements.

You must hold active DV clearance to be eligible for this role.
