About The Role

This permanent Service Desk Administrator role in Basingstoke offers a salary of £28,000 to £30,000, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Based at a newly established office, the successful candidate will join an experienced service team, helping to build the operation from the ground up. Responsibilities include day-to-day administration and coordination of the service desk, ensuring jobs progress efficiently from initial instruction through to completion. The position involves coordinating jobs, subcontractors and suppliers, so confidence in managing workloads and taking ownership is essential. The Role

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordination of the service desk, ensuring jobs are progressed efficiently from initial instruction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing incoming service requests and jobs.
  • Progressing jobs through to completion and closing them down accurately.
  • Booking and coordinating subcontractor visits.
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to arrange works.
  • Raising purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Monitoring outstanding jobs and following up on progress.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate job records.
  • Supporting engineers and the wider service team.
  • Handling queries and providing updates where required.
  • Carrying out general service desk and coordination duties.

The business is currently reviewing its CAFM/job management systems, so experience with facilities, maintenance or job management software would be highly beneficial.
