Service Desk Analyst - Thames Valley Police Force

Location:

Kidlington, Remote Working (attendance to HQ to collect Tech)

Contract Type:

Temporary

Daily Rate:

£150.00

End Date:

December 2026

Working Pattern:

Full Time, 37 hours per week
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm

Are you a passionate and skilled Service Desk Analyst looking for an exciting new opportunity?

Our client is seeking a dedicated individual to join their ICT team in Kidlington. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to support end users with exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert support, advice, and guidance to end users by efficiently diagnosing and resolving incidents in alignment with ITIL v3 Incident Management processes.
  • Collaborate with various ICT technical support functions to ensure timely incident resolution and maintain service level targets.
  • Communicate effectively with end users and ICT teams, ensuring updates are clear and informative throughout the incident management process.
  • Take ownership of incident and service request lifecycles, striving to achieve outstanding customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Act as a service recovery manager for high-priority incidents, maintaining communication with stakeholders to ensure business continuity.

Essential Qualifications And Skills

  • A good standard of education along with ITIL v2 or v3 knowledge or qualification.
  • Working experience within a service desk or technical environment is a must.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong customer-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to problem-solve and think logically in a dynamic setting while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development is essential.
  • Recent knowledge of ICT systems relevant to the organisation (training will be provided).

Desirable Attributes

  • Familiarity with at least one ICT technical area.
  • Demonstrable interest in Information Communication Technology and a proactive attitude towards resolving IT-related issues.
