Service Desk Coordinator
Our client is urgently looking for an experienced Service Desk Coordinator/IT Field Scheduling Coordinator to join their team based in Hertford, on a permanent basis.
Please note, the role is on-site 5 days per week.
Forming part of a wider team, you will pick up from the remote support provided by the helpdesk, at the point that a field engineer is deemed to be required. Once up to speed, you will be able to ensure that sufficient attempt has been made to resolve the issue remotely, before allocating one of our field engineers to attend. Engineers are assigned to sites based on geography, with nearby storage locations also needing to be considered for convenient hardware collection, if required. Communicating directly with customer sites will need to be performed in a professional and friendly manner, with expectations set based on the severity of the issue.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
