UK Service Business
Service / Strategic Leadership / Operational Excellence
Endress+Hauser are actively seeking a Service Director to lead our UK Service business. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape and deliver the Service strategy, driving sustainable growth, customer excellence, operational performance, and people development.
Main Responsibilities of the Service Director:
- Develop and execute the UK Service strategy in line with UK and Group objectives.
- Deliver Service revenue, profitability, and growth objectives, including lifecycle services, service agreements, and recurring revenue streams.
- Lead the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of Service activities across the UK.
- Champion a customer-focused culture and build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence through effective systems, processes, resource deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and lead a high-performing Service Leadership Team, supporting engagement, development, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, quality, and corporate standards, while visibly leading Health, Safety, and Wellbeing.
- Identify future market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging industry trends, driving innovation and digital service adoption.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Solutions, Marketing, Finance, and HR to deliver wider business objectives.
- Maintain the network of service partners to support efficient and effective service delivery.

Qualification + Profile of the Service Director:
- Degree qualified, or equivalent experience, in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related discipline.
- Significant senior leadership experience within a Service, Engineering, Technical, or Operational environment.
- A proven track record of delivering business growth, operational performance, and organisational change.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary teams and developing leadership capability.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, financial performance, and organisational resources.
- Experience developing and implementing business strategy and building senior-level customer relationships.
- A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with strong communication, judgement, and influencing skills.
- Resilient, adaptable, and future-focused, with integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for developing people.
- Experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, process industries, a global or matrix organisation, or digital lifecycle services would be advantageous.
