Role Description
The Service Engineer role is a full-time remote position responsible for supporting customers with the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of gas detection systems.

- Performing diagnostics and troubleshooting on equipment
- Providing on-site and remote field service
- Offering technical support to resolve complex issues

The Service Engineer will document service activities, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards. The role also involves:
- Clear communication with customers and internal teams
- Advising on system improvements
- Contributing feedback to product and engineering teams to enhance reliability and user experience
Occasional travel to customer sites will be required.
Qualifications
- Strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Field Service experience, including working at customer sites and managing service visits independently.
- Clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Technical Support capabilities to assist users remotely and guide them through issue resolution.
- Maintenance & Repair skills for gas detection systems or comparable electro-mechanical or electronic equipment.
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g., apprenticeship, vocational training, or degree) in engineering, electronics, instrumentation, or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Comfort with remote work, self-management, and using digital tools for reporting and communication.
- Experience in gas detection, industrial safety, or process industries is a MUST.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
- Must hold a UK passport.
