BMS Service Engineer
We are supporting one of the UK’s leading BMS specialists, who are hiring for a BMS Service Engineer. This opportunity is based in London, paying £65,000 per year.
You’ll have the opportunity to support critical Building Management Systems within a customer environment, working with leading BMS technologies and developing your technical expertise through ongoing training. This role would suit an engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and building strong customer relationships, with a focus on keeping building control systems reliable and operating efficiently.
You’ll carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with customer service agreements, inspect BMS equipment and associated controls, and diagnose and resolve faults to maintain system performance. Your responsibilities will also include completing small repairs and remedial works, responding to service calls and supporting customers during system failures or breakdowns. You’ll maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and customer interactions, while providing clear technical advice and participating in an on-call rota for emergency support.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
