Service Engineer (Healthcare and Scientific)
Location: Field-based, UK-wide (preferred: North West area – Manchester, Liverpool, Stoke)
Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

We have a fantastic opportunity with our leading, water technologies company, where you will play a key role in giving our customers best-in-class service. This role focuses on the Municipal market, working on various sewage and drinking water treatment sites.
As part of this position, a flexible approach to customer needs and hours is required, which may include:
- Working some weekends
- Covering public holidays
You will also be part of a rotating out-of-hours cover crew, providing rapid response support to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers through delivering high-quality service.
- Act punctual, helpful, and courteous at all times.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and commissioning work.
- Submit timely work reports, time sheets, and all documentation.

Operational Excellence
- Ensure on-time completion of site tasks and activities.
- Provide after-sales technical and commercial support, including feedback on future product development (features and functions).
- Identify opportunities to improve client systems (reliability/functionality) and qualify for sales (QOF) parts, consumables, or plant upgrades if applicable.
- Undertake upgrades and refurbishment projects.
Financial & Operational Oversight
- Provide regular updates to your line manager on issues that may impact financial, reputational, or operational stability.
Fault Management
- Perform breakdown work
- Troubleshoot and perform fault-finding activities.
Collaboration
- Liaise with the appropriate sales team on all matters.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience as a Service Engineer (ideally in healthcare or scientific fields).
- Strong background in Municipal market operations (desirable).
- Knowledge of water treatment (highly desirable).
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
Education & Qualifications
- Qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
