Your role

Your mission is to deliver skilled on-site service that keeps our customers’ equipment performing reliably and safely. You use your expertise to repair, maintain, and support the technology they depend on. Through your work, you help customers secure the uptime and performance they need to run their operations with confidence. You join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Operations Manager.

Your day-to-day

  • Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems. You will also diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
  • Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
  • Provide technical service and support to our customer, through on-site work, and by providing repairs and tool calibrations, working as part of the Atlas Copco Service team.
  • Continuously improve our customer satisfaction.
  • Provide Repairs and Service Support on Industrial Power Tooling including Electronic, Pneumatic handheld and fixture tools.
  • Provide the customer with technical support.
  • Conduct regular line audits, providing technical support, assistance and guidance as and when required.
  • Maintain records of all activities.
  • Carry out calibrations and preventative maintenance tasks on a scheduled and planned basis according to laboratory and ISO procedures.
  • Plan, manage and carry out the installation of our equipment at the customers premises.
  • Ensure all repair and calibration workshop documentation is completed correctly and up to date.
  • Provide written reports on repairs and incidents as requested by management or the customer.
  • Provide advice and feedback to the Customer on the use of their equipment.
  • Work as part of a team with our Sales representatives and the Customer to help address any support and technical issues.

Your Skills And Experience

  • Educational Qualification: Engineering Diploma/Degree.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to take ownership and provide value added solutions to our customers.
  • Motivated, self-starter, and organized.

Your location

You will be part of our customer center in East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa (ZA). You join a field service team that works close to our customers, where most of your time is spent traveling within your assigned area to support them on-site.
