Our client is a global manufacturing company, a market leader in maritime sector manufacturing marine capital equipment.

To grow the organization and strengthen its engineering team in APAC region our client wants to recruit a:

Service Engineer (Based in Singapore)

ORGANISATION:

You will be reporting to the General Manager in Singapore and be in charge of providing both onsite (shipyards) and offsite service and support to customers to resolve any operational issues on the company installed equipment in the Southeast Asia region. This is a hands-on role requiring you to work onsite. In addition, you are responsible for customer relationship management and pre-sales activity in the region.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installation, commissioning, validation, and maintenance of capital equipment onsite (shipyards) and at the company workshop.
  • Serve as a customer-facing technical engineer. Work in collaboration with technicians and clients.
  • Building relationships with existing customers and developing relationship with new customers in the region.
  • Create and maintain installation data, service information, and repair log in the company enterprise database.
  • Make sure that the company tools and equipment’s are clean and easily available to use.

Requirements

YOUR PROFILE:

  • A mechanical engineer, mechatronic engineer or marine engineer by qualification.
  • You have over 3 years of technical (field) experience in repairs, maintenance, and commissioning work in marine or shipping or offshore industry.
  • You have strong experience in mechanical or electrical engineering in your previous roles.
  • Experience working on machinery or equipment like engines, gearboxes, or propulsion systems will be an added advantage.
  • You are a keen learner and are able to analyse complex situations.
  • You are open to travel more than 60% internationally to fix the customers issues.
