Due to continued growth within our UK customer base, we are currently recruiting for experienced Field Service Engineers with a strong mechanical bias to join the Matsuura team.
Role Description
In this role, you will provide professional engineering support at customer sites across the UK, carrying out fault diagnosis, repairs, preventative maintenance, and servicing of machinery. The position will involve working across both mechanical and electrical disciplines, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while delivering a high standard of customer service. Full product training will be given.
This is a full-time, permanent position operating from our modern Leicestershire facility. The role offers the opportunity to work at customer sites across the UK and includes regular travel and overnight stays as required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and service visits
- Undertake mechanical and electrical repairs across Matsuura machines and other products within the Matsuura product range
- Complete electrical and mechanical retrofits
- Undertake spindle exchanges where required
- Assist with the installation and set-up of new machinery at customer sites
- Provide technical support as required
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures and health and safety.

Experience & Technical Requirements:
- A solid engineering background within the machine tool industry, including experience with installation, servicing, and maintenance
- Previous experience working for a machine tool or lathe manufacturer/agent is essential
- Experience and familiarity with FANUC control systems would be advantageous
- Strong mechanical knowledge and some understanding of electrical systems would be advantageous

- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
- Strong practical engineering skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering high-quality service to customers
- Committed to maintaining high standards of quality, health and safety, and professionalism at all times
- Full, valid driving licence required, with the ability and willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the UK
