About The Role

The Service Improvement Advocate position, based in Exeter, is a temporary, fixed-term contract running until February 2027. This hybrid role offers a salary of £33,163 per annum for 37 hours weekly, Monday to Friday. You will manage customer feedback and resolve complex complaints, gathering evidence and liaising with colleagues to secure positive results. The role involves promoting high standards in complaint handling and identifying trends to address underlying issues. The post is suited to someone with experience in customer complaints who is committed to using feedback to enhance service delivery. This is a full-time, temporary position with the possibility of working from Weston-super-Mare or Tolvaddon.

Do you have experience handling customer complaints and a passion for improving services? We're looking for a Service Improvement Advocate to help drive positive change by resolving complex customer issues and using feedback to improve service delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • ✔️ Manage customer feedback, complaints, and compliments professionally and efficiently
  • ✔️ Investigate complex cases, gather evidence, and work with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes
  • ✔️ Promote best practice in complaint handling and customer service standards
  • ✔️ Identify trends and root causes to support continuous service improvement
  • ✔️ Develop improvement plans that enhance the customer experience

What We're Looking For

  • ✅ Experience managing customer complaints or escalated customer enquiries
  • ✅ Strong customer service background
  • ✅ Excellent communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills
  • ✅ Ability to build positive relationships across teams
  • ✅ Organised, resilient, and able to manage a varied workload
