Job Description

Service Leader

Location: Skelmersdale

Salary: £33,482 per annum

Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 Hours per Week Monday - Friday - NO on call.

The Role

As a Service Leader, you'll work closely with the Regional Manager to lead a supported living service in Skelmersdale, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and behaviours that may challenge.

You'll be responsible for leading a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of care are delivered while creating a positive and supportive environment for both the people you support and your colleagues.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Team Leader, Deputy Manager, or Service Leader ready to develop their career with one of the UK's leading social care charities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Support Workers.
  • Manage rotas, supervision, performance, and staff development.
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding, and health & safety requirements.
  • Manage service budgets, audits, and day-to-day operations.
  • Build positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies.
  • Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of new staff.
  • Promote independence, choice, and inclusion for the people you support.

About the Service

You'll be leading a supported living service supporting adults with:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Autism
  • Physical Disabilities
  • Behaviours that may challenge

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who leads with compassion, confidence, and integrity.

You'll Ideally Have:

  • Previous leadership experience within Health & Social Care.
  • Experience managing or supervising staff.
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred support.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and CQC standards.
  • Experience developing support plans and managing complex needs.
  • Good organisational and IT skills.
  • A positive, proactive, and approachable leadership style.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above) is desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
