Salary: £59,069.52 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, TA5 1UD
G4S Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Engineer (HVAC Bias) for a full-time, permanent position. This is a distinctive opportunity to join our team at Hinkley Point C, located in Bridgwater.
We are looking for a fully qualified and experienced individual to work on a mobile basis, across a range of sites to maintain and repair assets, building fabric, services and estate. We are searching for a candidate with experience of building and facilities maintenance, and a high level specialism such as Air Conditioning.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and close out all PPM, reactive tasks, and refurbishments within agreed client SLAs using the CAFM system.
- Monitor daily site operations, log reactive work, and escalate/extend tasks proactively to prevent contract deductions.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair complex commercial heating, mechanical, electrical, ventilation, and security assets.
- Lead estate engineers, technicians, and contractors on site, ensuring work aligns with technical drawings and operational manuals.
- Maintain overall estate assets, internal/external fixtures, grounds, and physical building fabric.
- Safely resolve asset breakdowns and participate in the team’s emergency call-out rota.
- Work collaboratively alongside semi-skilled and skilled maintenance staff to foster cross-skilling across the team.
- Maintain technical reports, assist with procedural documentation, and ensure safe usage of all tools and equipment.

Essential
- Qualified HVAC / Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record and formal electrical training.
- Hands-on experience in building services, plant rooms, and facilities maintenance.
Desirable
- Practical knowledge or experience with Building Management Systems (BMS / Trend / Tridium controls).
- Recognised Electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds / 18th Edition / NVQ Level 3).
- Formal plumbing certification or proven mechanical/pipework experience (e.g., C&G / NVQ Level 2+).
- Full, clean driving license
