About This Role
Are you an experienced Service & Maintenance Controller, Fleet Controller or Service Coordinator looking for your next opportunity? Based in Brighouse with Dawsongroup EMC, you will coordinate workshop, mobile engineer and third-party service activity, helping to keep maintenance, repairs, breakdowns and compliance events moving while keeping customers informed.
- Coordinate workshop, mobile engineer and third-party repair activity, balancing planned maintenance, inspections, breakdowns and operational priorities.
- Authorise, schedule and track maintenance and repairs, monitoring progress and escalating delays, risks or additional work when required.
- Keep customers updated throughout service activity, providing clear information on bookings, repairs and expected progress.
- Maintain accurate records within our maintenance systems, including job tracking, recharges, compliance reporting, recalls and service events.
- Monitor repair costs and ensure activity meets safety requirements, manufacturer guidance, approval processes and relevant legal standards.
About You
You will bring previous experience from a fleet environment alongside experience in service coordination, engineering control, maintenance administration or a related role. You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, speaking with customers, engineers and suppliers, and making informed decisions when plans change.
- Previous fleet experience, with an understanding of how effective maintenance and service coordination supports vehicle or asset availability.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the confidence to prioritise a high volume of planned and reactive work.
- Clear communication skills and customer-facing experience, including the ability to handle complex requirements and resolve disputes professionally.
- Comfortable using IT systems to maintain accurate records, reports and service information, including Microsoft Office applications.
- An understanding of compliance, health and safety or regulatory requirements would be useful, but we are interested in your wider experience and potential too.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
