About This Role

Are you an experienced Service Controller, Maintenance Controller, Fleet Controller or someone from an engineering service coordination background looking for your next opportunity? Based from our Brighouse office, our Service Controller role within Dawsongroup EMC will put you at the heart of our maintenance operation, coordinating engineers, workshops and third-party providers to keep customers moving.

  • Coordinate workshop, mobile engineer and third-party repair activity, balancing planned maintenance, inspections and breakdowns.
  • Authorise, schedule and track repairs, keeping maintenance systems and service records accurate and up to date.
  • Keep customers informed with clear service updates, while monitoring progress and escalating delays or additional work where needed.
  • Work closely with engineers, suppliers and internal teams to coordinate parts, labour and other resources.
  • Monitor service costs and ensure work meets safety, manufacturer, legal and compliance requirements.

About You

You will ideally bring experience as a Service Controller, Maintenance Controller or Fleet Controller, although we are equally interested in people from closely related engineering service coordination backgrounds. You will be comfortable speaking with customers and technical teams, solving problems and keeping multiple jobs moving without losing sight of the detail.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
