Service Manager
Location: Blandford Camp – On-site role Contract: Permanent, Full-time Salary: £40,000 – £44,000

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to act as the single point of contact between VIVO, the Head of Establishment, and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). You’ll lead all hard FM service delivery on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring compliance with statutory and Ministry of Defence (MoD) requirements.
- Manage performance metrics (KPIs) for direct teams and supply partners, maintaining accurate documentation in CAFM systems.
- Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Develop a strong understanding of operational priorities across military establishments, collaborating with Heads of Establishment to align maintenance activities with unit outputs.
- Maintain Establishment Specific Task Schedules (ESTS), Forward Additional Services Plans (FASP), and draft Statements of Need to support estate sustainment, maintenance, and change.
- Ensure statutory compliance, risk-managing overdue mandatory tasks in consultation with stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to support MoD Net Zero objectives, initiating billable works where necessary.
- Participate in the on-call rota.

About You
We’re looking for an industry expert with:
- A strong background in FM service delivery and IT skills, ideally within a regulated or defence environment.
- Experience managing maintenance services, teams, and supply partners.
- Deep knowledge of safe systems of work, statutory compliance, and customer-focused service delivery.
- Essential qualifications:
- Technical qualifications in building services or engineering.
- IOSH (or equivalent) certification.
- Emergency first aid and fire safety training.
- Experience as, or supporting, Asbestos and Legionella Responsible Persons.
