Service Manager – Automotive
Salary: £45,000–£65,000 OTE (uncapped, depending on experience)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Automotive Service Manager to join a long-established Essex-based automotive retailer.
We’re looking for an ambitious, customer-focused manager who can lead a busy service team, develop staff and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 2 years automotive experience, in a Service Manager role
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent leadership, organisation and diary-management skills
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities
- A passion for developing and motivating a team
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Key responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day service and workshop operation
- Ensure vehicles are repaired and serviced to manufacturer and company standards
- Communicate with customers regarding repairs and additional work
- Allocate work to Technicians according to skill and workload
- Support, train and motivate the service team
- Ensure paperwork and customer updates are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain high standards of vehicle care and customer satisfaction

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm
Weekends: Discussed at interview
