Service Manager
Glenholme Specialist Healthcare | Brighton & Saltdean
Salary: £36,000–£38,000 per annum

At Glenholme Specialist Healthcare, we believe that exceptional support starts with putting people first. We are looking for two experienced and motivated Service Managers to help us deliver high-quality, person-centred support across our supported living services in Brighton and Saltdean.
Each Service Manager will have responsibility for three supported living services, working closely with a Registered Manager and local Team Leaders to ensure the people we support receive safe, consistent and personalised care.
The Role
As a Service Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for the people we support.
You will:
- Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred support, enabling people to live the lives they choose in their own homes and communities.
- Ensure the people we support have a strong voice in their care, with person-centered plans that reflect their individual needs, preferences, aspirations and outcomes.
- Use audits, feedback, incidents and learning to identify opportunities for improvement and turn these into practical, measurable actions.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, professionals and external partners to resolve concerns early and achieve positive outcomes.
- Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders and support staff across three local services.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, support plans, safeguarding follow-up, medicines practice and service improvement action plans.
- Work alongside the Registered Manager to maintain strong governance and ensure services are prepared for CQC inspection and scrutiny.
- Collaborate with the other Service Manager, providing management support and absence cover where required.
- Participate in the management on-call rota.

What You Will Bring
We are looking for an experienced leader who is passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives.
You will have:
- Experience of leadership within adult social care, supported living or a similar environment.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, quality assurance and person-centred practice.
- The ability to balance people, quality and operational priorities across multiple services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with colleagues, families and professionals.
- A coaching and supportive leadership style, with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
- A proactive approach to identifying issues, implementing improvements and ensuring actions are followed through.
- A relevant professional qualification, or a willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care or an equivalent relevant qualification through an agreed development plan.

The exact three-service caseload for each Service Manager will be agreed according to operational and service needs.
You will benefit from working within a supportive management structure, with close support from a Registered Manager and a fellow Service Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in strengthening quality, developing teams and improving outcomes across the local area.
