Service Manager
The successful candidate will lead a distinctive 24/7 supported living service and help shape its next stage of development. We are seeking an experienced, values-led manager who can inspire a multidisciplinary team, strengthen partnerships and ensure that 22 adults with learning disabilities receive consistently high-quality, person-centred support.
About Us
Established in 2015, Esmond Street provides high-quality, 24/7 supported living for 22 older adults with learning disabilities and people with additional complex needs. One of the few services of its kind in Glasgow, it was developed to meet growing demand for specialised, person-centred support that can adapt as people’s needs change.
Esmond Street is part of Enable Glasgow, a membership organisation that provides services for people with learning disabilities across the city. Our work includes supported living, social opportunities, social enterprise activity, advocacy and campaigning. Founded in 1957, Enable Glasgow now supports around 200 people directly and has almost 400 members.
About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Supported Living, the Service Manager will lead Esmond Street through its next stage of development. You will lead and develop the staff team, build strong relationships with family members, external professionals, commissioning authorities and regulatory agencies, and ensure that Enable Glasgow’s values are evident in day-to-day practice and future service development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
