Service Manager - Abbott House

Salary: £47,500 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Are you an experienced and ambitious Home Manager looking for your next opportunity? Do you thrive on leading teams, delivering exceptional standards of care and creating a positive environment where residents and colleagues can flourish?

At Shaw Healthcare, we're looking for a dedicated Service Manager to lead our welcoming 40-bed specialist care home, where you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference every day.

You'll work alongside a committed team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, building strong relationships with residents, families, GPs and local healthcare professionals to ensure every individual is supported to live life to the fullest.

About The Role

As Service Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the home, ensuring residents receive outstanding care while supporting your team to achieve their full potential.

You'll create a culture where quality, kindness and continuous improvement are embedded in everything you do.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading and inspiring your team to consistently deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
  • Providing visible, approachable and supportive leadership throughout the home.
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Managing occupancy, budgets and resources to ensure the continued success of the service.
  • Maintaining compliance with CQC standards and all relevant legislation.
  • Driving continuous quality improvement through effective clinical governance.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and development of colleagues.
  • Promoting meaningful activities, independence and choice for every resident.
  • Ensuring the home operates safely, effectively and in line with Shaw Healthcare's vision of providing the quality of care we would want for our own loved ones.

About You

We're looking for a compassionate and motivated leader who is passionate about delivering exceptional care.

You'll Have

  • Previous experience managing a care home or a service of a similar size and client group.
  • A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing budgets, occupancy and operational performance.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and quality assurance.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A caring, compassionate and values-driven approach.
