Riverside BYD Wakefield - Service Manager
Are you an experienced Service Manager looking for your next challenge? Or are you a Senior Service Advisor ready to take the next step into management?
This is a unique opportunity to join BYD Wakefield and play a key role in building an aftersales department for one of the most exciting and disruptive automotive brands in the world. We are looking for someone with the ambition, energy and leadership qualities to develop a department that delivers outstanding customer experiences while supporting the continued growth of the BYD brand.

Essentials
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, or an experienced Senior Service Advisor ready to progress into management
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- A proactive attitude with the ambition to develop and lead a successful aftersales operation
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Commercial awareness with an understanding of workshop performance and profitability
- Full UK Driving Licence

Working closely with the Head of Business, you'll lead the development of a customer-focused service department, creating processes, developing people and building a culture that customers and colleagues enjoy being part of.
Whether you're already managing a department or looking to make your first move into management, you'll receive the support needed to succeed while being given the freedom to influence how the department grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the customer journey, delivering exceptional levels of customer satisfaction.
- Inspire, coach and develop the service team to achieve their full potential.
- Manage workshop loading, technician utilisation and service diary planning.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators including labour sales, customer satisfaction, efficiency and profitability.
- Build strong relationships with customers, resolving concerns professionally and positively.
- Recruit, mentor and develop future talent within the department.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, warranty processes and Health & Safety legislation.
- Help establish BYD Wakefield as the destination for outstanding aftersales service.
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and leading by example.
You may already be a successful Service Manager, or you could be a high-performing Senior Service Advisor who has demonstrated leadership qualities and is looking for the opportunity to step into management.

You'll Have
