Job Summary
DrPA Secure delivers specialist healthcare within secure, justice and community settings. The Service Manager leads the operational delivery, governance and performance of the Canol Substance Use Service, working closely with clinical leaders, commissioners and partner organisations to ensure safe, effective and compliant services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations across all service sites.
- Ensure compliance with HIW standards, governance and quality assurance requirements.
- Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment, induction and workforce performance.
- Oversee safeguarding, incident management, complaints and business continuity.
- Support medicines governance and controlled drugs processes.
- Develop relationships with commissioners, G4S, NHS partners and other stakeholders.
- Monitor budgets, KPIs, performance reports and service improvements.
- Promote an excellent patient experience and continuous quality improvement.

Essential Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare, social care or criminal justice management.
- Operational management experience within healthcare, substance misuse or social care services.
- Knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and healthcare regulation (HIW/CQC).
- Experience working with criminal justice or vulnerable populations.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to travel across all service locations.
Desirable Requirements
- Management qualification (ILM/CMI or equivalent).
- Clinical registration (NMC/HCPC).
- Experience within substance misuse, prison healthcare or community justice services.
- Knowledge of Welsh substance misuse frameworks and SystmOne.
