The Lighthouse, Gloucestershire

Full-time | 37.5 hours per week | Site based

Salary is £50,000

Role Overview

Located just outside Stroud town centre in Gloucestershire, The Lighthouse is a welcoming 5-bedded residential home supporting young females aged 13–18 who are experiencing mental health difficulties. With excellent transport links, including a local bus station, train station, and just a 10-minute walk from the town centre, The Lighthouse provides a supportive and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

As Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the leadership, development, and day-to-day management of the residential children’s home. You will ensure that children receive outstanding care in a safe, nurturing environment, enabling them to make progress in all aspects of their lives. You will work closely with a highly supportive senior leadership team and play a key role in shaping the service's culture, achievements, and success.

Key Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards) required.
  • Previous experience within children’s residential care at management or deputy level.
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding practices.
  • Passionate about therapeutic and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Child-focused, resilient, and values-driven approach.
