Role Description

The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Scarborough, responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational management of a care service. This role oversees staff teams, ensures person-centered support plans are implemented, and maintains a safe, homely environment for people using the service. The Service Manager monitors quality standards, compliance with regulatory requirements, and health and safety, while managing budgets, staffing levels, and resources. Daily tasks include supervising and developing team members, handling scheduling, participating in care reviews, liaising with families and external professionals, and addressing any escalated concerns. The role also involves promoting community involvement, continuous improvement, and a culture of respect, inclusion, and safeguarding.
