An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Service Manager to oversee a number of Supported Living services across Bristol and South Gloucestershire with Milestones Trust.

We are seeking a motivated and proactive leader to inspire, manage and support a dedicated team of Service Coordinators and Personal Assistants. Together, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred support to people living in a range of independent and shared living environments, empowering them to achieve their goals, maximise their independence and live fulfilling lives within their communities.

Every person we support, and their service, is unique and we aim to work collaboratively with people to develop strategies to manage as much of their lives as possible by:

  • Supporting with life skills to become as independent as possible
  • To make the most of opportunities to have meaningful roles and relationships
  • To live their best lives

Previous experience of service management is desirable and the expectation you will be successful in a CQC registration in due course.

You will be responsible for all aspects of your services, involved in assessment of prospective tenants, working with key stakeholders including local authorities, social work teams and primary and secondary healthcare teams in addition to building and fostering excellent relationships internally across Milestones Trust whilst achieving key objectives and financial stability for each service.

You will also lead your team to ensure all support plans, risk assessments and records are regularly reviewed and relevant, as well as leading team and 1:1 meetings with your staff.

About You

You will be a confident and inspiring leader who is passionate about delivering high quality, person-centred support and achieving positive outcomes for the people we support.

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

  • Can role model a person-centred approach, placing the people living in the service at the heart of everything they do and supporting them to achieve their goals and outcomes.
  • Have strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire teams to perform at their best.
  • Are experienced in managing budgets, balancing strategic priorities and ensuring key objectives are delivered effectively.
  • Can work creatively and proactively to develop bespoke solutions while maintaining high standards within a CQC regulated environment.
  • Are passionate about inclusion, community participation and protecting citizen rights, with a good understanding of safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act and relevant legislation.
  • Are excellent communicators who can build positive relationships with families, professionals and partner agencies, working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for people supported.
