We're looking for Junior Service Managers with approximately 18 months to 2 years of experience working within Service Delivery, Service Management, Operations, PMO, Technical Support or similar environments.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already understands how services, stakeholders and operational processes work and wants to develop their career within a Service Management function.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of IT and business services to agreed service levels
- Monitoring and reporting on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Assisting with the coordination of incident, problem and change management activities
- Supporting service review and governance meetings
- Producing service reports and performance updates for stakeholders
- Communicating effectively with clients, delivery teams and internal stakeholders
- Escalating issues and risks where appropriate
- Identifying opportunities for service improvements
- Supporting service transition and operational change activities
- Building positive working relationships with stakeholders and delivery teams
- Contributing to initiatives that improve customer experience and service performance

Essential Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Customer-facing or customer service experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong willingness to learn and develop
- Comfortable working with a range of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of Service Management or Service Delivery concepts
- Experience producing reports or analysing performance data
- Experience supporting operational or business processes
- Awareness of ITIL principles
- Experience working with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Exposure to incident, problem or change management processes
- Experience supporting technology, operational or managed services environments
- Experience working within a structured service delivery function
Eligibility Requirements
To be considered, you must:
- Be SC Eligible
- Have a minimum of five years' UK residency
- Have no absences exceeding 30 consecutive days outside the UK during that period
- Be based in Newcastle or within a one-hour commute, or be willing to relocate (relocation support provided)
- Be willing to work in the office three days per week

This role provides a structured pathway into Service Management, offering exposure to service governance, stakeholder management, operational delivery, and continuous improvement activities. Successful candidates will gain valuable experience working within a large-scale client environment and will be supported in developing the skills required to progress into more senior Service Management positions.
