All over the world, the name Hasler is synonymous of Swiss quality in the railway market. For the expansion of our team, we are seeking to hire in Manchester a dynamic and motivated Service Operator.
Main Tasks
- Setting up test equipment and preparing products for testing and repair.
- Collecting and recording incoming product and repair data on electronic job cards.
- Carrying out routine servicing of safety-critical rail equipment using hand tools and diagnostic software.
- Supporting the overhaul and repair of electro-mechanical equipment to a high quality standard.
- Carrying out routine testing using diagnostic and test software.
- Completing repair, test and service documentation accurately and to a high standard.
- Supporting general warehouse activities.
- Carrying out basic administrative tasks related to the service and repair process.
- Following established processes, quality standards, and Health & Safety procedures.
- Contributing to continuous improvement by suggesting improvements to processes and working methods.

Requirements
- An interest in engineering, electronics, or technical work.
- Practical and hands-on approach.
- Good computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and work accurately, particularly when working with safety-critical equipment.
- Willingness to participate in training to develop technical capabilities and product knowledge.
- Positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
