Responsibilities:
Responsible for the efficient and effective movement of pallets/skips. Using the appropriate SAP transactions to record the pallet movements.
Key Activities:
- Moving pallets and packaging to and from the manufacturing areas in a safe and timely manner, including line clearance.
- Ensure all pallet movements are recorded accurately and in a timely manner on SAP.
- Manage the SAP / Racking system interface.
- Ensure that all work areas are at the required hygiene standards and participate in the required housekeeping audits.
- Perform and document Health & Safety checks.
- Safely operate all mechanical equipment (e.g., Dan, Live Rack, etc.) and resolve issues where possible.
- Create and apply correct pallet labels to pallets (ensuring that all counts are accurate).
- Assist engineering in the service areas (Live Rack, Dan Palletiser).
- Removal of waste and recyclables from designated collection containers to the recycling and waste storage areas on site, ensuring that the recycling and waste storage areas are maintained to company standards.
- Operate Compactors and Balers safely and co-ordinate the storage of baled recyclables and their removal from site.
- Report contamination issues and daily performance/issues to EHS Department.
- Drive initiatives to improve waste reduction and recycling.
- Conduct faulty finding activities during system downtime.
- Conduct ‘lane housekeeping’ activities in the Live Racking to utilize the space effectively.
- Run all packing auxiliary equipment.
- Feed pallets into the automated Tippers.
Key Result Areas:
- Line efficiency down time associated with component shortages.
- Stock accuracy in live rack.
- Downtime of the live rack system.
- Down time of the Dan Palletiser.
- Working in conjunction with the EHS department, co-ordinate site waste activities to maintain waste recycling levels to company standards. Ensuring compliance to company, statutory environmental policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
- Ensure waste is segregated to increase the volume of waste recycled and reduce landfill tonnage.

- EPT Licence.
- Understanding of work-orders SAP understanding.
- Working at heights / harness operation.

Health, Safety, and Environment:

- Ensures safe working and ensures that their working environment is kept tidy.
- Reports any safety hazards and environment risks within the work area or malfunction of any machine, plant, or equipment to the immediate Manager.
- Complies with all written or verbal instructions given to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
- Uses safety equipment and/or protective clothing as required by the task in hand, e.g., Ear/Eye protection, Safety Footwear, etc.
- Reports all incidents to the immediate Manager whether injury is sustained or not, including environment incidents.
- Observes the Fire Evacuation Procedure and learn the position of all fire equipment and exit routes.
