An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the Trent XWB Sales & Operations Planning team as a Services Parts Planner. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team accountable for forecasting over £500m of parts demand every year.

The Trent XWB Value Stream is at the heart of one of the most successful widebody aircraft programmes in modern aviation. The Trent XWB engine family is the exclusive powerplant for the Airbus A350 family, providing industry-leading efficiency, reliability, and long-range capability.

The successful candidate will carry out the parts planning, forecasting, and inventory management activities required to support a wide range of customer, overhaul, repair, and distribution networks. Other key activities include:

  • Working closely with external and internal stakeholders (used material / supply chain) to understand part policies / usage.
  • Developing new approaches and recommendations to improve financial performance and demand accuracy.
  • Maintaining an operational focus to highlight emerging risks to MRO overhaul activities.

You will be comfortable in working across multi-functional teams, obtaining and challenging information to determine root causes, making decisions through risk-based analysis to ensure cost-effective corrective solutions are put in place, and taking ownership to drive investigations and actions to conclusion, including Engineering, Engine Clearance, Repair Services, and Supply Chains based in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will:

  • Evaluate SIOP demand and supply plans to identify customer or financial risk and manage the resolution of any issues.
  • Work with customers to maintain forecasts for all in-service requirements, ensuring variances to forecast are investigated and quality of demand accuracy and inventory are improved.
  • Plan, manage, report, and drive inventory by analyzing trends to produce recommendations that improve/manage inventory and stock turn objectives.
  • Liaise with various disciplines across the Project Team to develop an accurate understanding of the Fleet Operational Plan and other parts usage drivers, including campaign and cost management activity.
  • Lead and support the development of active used material management processes and policies in support of customer MRO activities.
  • Identify and evaluate causes of variability, impact of policy changes, financial considerations, and risk mitigation strategies which affect demand accuracy.
  • Apply through-life policies to generate gross asset (component) forecast and stock requirements for new, used, and repair supply chains.
  • Maintain the appropriate understanding of the current performance of the new parts and repair supply chains to enable appropriate and early recommendations to manage risks.
  • Support product change governance, including attendance at PCB, PTM, and Repair Executive Reviews.
  • Support process improvement through the Community of Practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
